If you want to get informed about real social justice, here’s six things you need to know to cut down on 99% of the bullshit “social justice” that you will see in the coming months.
1. Jaws contributed to mass hysteria that lead to people murdering sharks on sight because the movie portrayed them as cold blooded killers even though attacks were uncommon, so it is in fact wrong to say we should fear sharks, any post that says we’re right to be afraid of sharks is ironic because we actually did murder thousands of sharks despite how little threat they posed us based on fictional stories and media exacerbating a few stories into a serious problem . Thus post that compares shark to men and should be ‘rightfully afraid’ is ridiculous and paranoid, for the above reasons.
2. Anytime you involve someone’s life, the brain will lead you to questioning it’s safety. Example, if I gave you 100 grapes but one of them was so poisonous it would mean instant death, would you eat even one of them? Almost all of you would pause and legitimately think about the probability of it, despite your odds of death being so low, humans don’t like to gamble on their lives, it’s a plain fact. If we did the same thing with Russian Roulette, but you only had to pull the trigger once, I know only one person reading this might still be willing to try it, even though your odds are still quite high that you will survive. Other than the fact that 90% of the “are you willing to risk it?” posts conflate normal interactions with possible death! They also play on our desire not to risk our lives needlessly, and conflate the fear of dying with prejudice or any sort of -ism.
3. There are no ‘Puppet’ Minorities (patent pending): Simply put, do not remove agency from a person because it fits your argument. If an adult woman chooses a non-STEM field over a STEM one, your first instinct should not be to cry institutional sexism before even asking the women why they would choose a non-STEM field. It seems a majority of discourse wants to paint woman most frequently, and then non-white people or LGBT members, as being, puppets on the strings of a phantom patriarchy, without any ability to think, reason and come up with their own opinions. Why would she choose non-STEM? because at some point in time a man told her her place was in the kitchen (or something like that) and of course she accepted it like a good oppressed womyn. If a person who is non-white does not agree with race politics or deliberate anti-white bias, they are being controlled by hidden white man, using them as a prop to confuse the PoC.
4. Don’t call yourself a PoC. Primarily the problem with the term PoC is when it is used in any context outside of meaning “ someone other than white in America”. It erases people’s culture (quite literally) by labeling everyone who is not white as a single entity without any definition or respect for it’s commensurate parts; there is no PoC culture, there is no PoC experience and the platitudes SJWs just harken back to being called Colored people. Why should we be happier that someone else wants to label us strictly based on the color of our skin? PoC are not alike in the slightest, and there are plenty of us who are racist, sexist and homophobic. It’s almost as if this person was ignorant of actual cultures and decided centuries of prejudice from non-white people against other non-white people could be forgotten because then they could not capitalize on it.
5. Ignore anything involving The Feminist Madonna/Whore complex, not to be confused with the Standard M/W complex, it’s primarily used by first world feminists and socially conscious politically correct men. It goes that feminists, female and male, keep a dichotomous view of women to judge their worth by: the Feminist Madonna, staunchly liberal, educated in feminism, sexually liberated and unfettered by patriarchal values and society, and the Anti-Feminist Whore, who is anyone that is non-feminist, not-liberal enough or is completely fine with being sexually conservative and what a woman has historically been. The problem is that it feminist in mind must categorize the two, they cannot be okay with being sexualized, that’s not Madonna behavior, they should think porn is demeaning for women. They should be liberal, only a Whore would let patriarchal white men define their lives. A Madonna should only be a feminist, otherwise they’re asking to be taken advantage of by misogynists, like they want it or something. Basically it’s okay to judge and devalue a woman based on your idealized precepts of how they should act in public or private, so long as it’s done in the name of women’s liberation, which is why it should simply be ignored rather than legitimized.
6. Don’t trust moral crusades, especially social justice ones. The problem with most movements is they want to convert people by hook or by crook, with little to no understanding of how social change occurs. It is not immediate and not widespread, second wave feminism did not eliminate housewives, it did not eliminate gender roles, and it certainly did not remove sexism. Even after the fight is won, there will still be dissenters and there will still be criticism. The problem with social justice warriors is they see these people as pagan nonbelievers, and that their continued existence means that they just need to try harder in the next crusade. It’s a conquest to remove social evil from the world, and it’s so powerful that even when sweeping social reform happens, it’s not good enough. When you’re fighting phantoms and made concepts like the patriarchy and universal white privilege you can never win, you just live for the fight and the negativity and nothing else.
