When trans women are trying to perfect presentation in a way that is read as “female” we are not doing it because we like gender roles or because we want to reaffirm the demands that women behave a certain way. We are doing it because men will literally kill us if we fail to. What cis radical feminists need to understand is that we are the victims of gender as well and that gender abolition ought to be a shared goal.
