for a reference 47 ronin (the biggest box office bomb) made 60% of its profits
holy shit
i mean if u think about it, who the fuck else would want to see a stonewall movie besides LGBT people but like– SPECIFICALLY LGBT people who are invested in knowledge of our history and culture. and by whitewashing it they effectively alienated 100% of their potential audience.
