Hey Anon. I might not know you, but I think you need to start asking yourself the right questions now. Okay you’re at a state where nothing’s good enough.
What now? What do yo want? What can you change, what can you improve? What can you do short-term, what can you do long-term? What will set you on the right path to what you wanna become? And realistically, what can you control and where do you need to let the chips fall where they may?
Think this through, write it down on a piece of paper, or memorize your objectives, and follow your guideline. Get people involved if you can, for example, family support, or a friend who can give you advice and an honest piece of his/her mind on what you’re doing. And be willing to adapt your goals or the way to achieve them, if the tables don’t turn in your favor (it happens).
Happiness is not short-term, and rarely something in the future, or at least to me (this is the part where you can think I’m totes wrong). It’s an agglomeration of remembrances of the past, good memories, that is very similar to nostalgia. And it’s only a feeling. And feelings are volatile or misleading. I would look for contentment. It means you know what you have, you have achieved what you needed to do or possess, or where you needed to be, and everything that comes after is extra cash.
It may be a little to down to earth for you, but find objectives that you can reach first. It’s better to know you can achieve something that is in your line of work than aiming for the stars and landing in the stratosphere from the start.
