Well I’ve got a huge assignment due tomorrow, so naturally I’ve instead been playing the Sun/Moon demo. Specifically, I’ve been doing a lot of math. Last night I calculated Ash-Greninja’s stats, as well as the power boost that Water Shuriken receives.
Today, I took the liberty of calculating the stats of the 3 new Pokemon you see in the demo (Jangmo-o and Hakamo-o not included because there’s not enough usable data). These Pokemon are level 32 or so at max, so there’s a pretty wide margin of error that can’t be helped without doing something ridiculous like catching 100 of each and averaging them all or something. So, I settled on this!
The graphs depict the median stat values (i.e., assuming average IV’s if you know what that means) while the error bars show the variation that I have to account for given their level. The minimum and maximum values are shown below each graph as well. Note that because of small sample size and my high levels of stress at the moment, there’s a decent chance of error throughout these calculations, so don’t take them to be totally true just yet.
If the numbers mean nothing to you, then the takeaways are as follows:
Yungoos is pretty average, and has above average HP and Attack. It’s basically Rattata with nicer hair, so this is to be expected.
Pikipek has a very high Attack, so high for its evolutionary stage that I think I might have messed that one up. I mean, with its max value it’s almost as strong as Mightyena, a fully evolved Pokemon. And Pikipek is stage 1 of 3.
Rockruff is quite fast for a Rock type, but given that Midday Lycanroc’s selling point was its Speed judging from its Pokedex entry, this makes sense (although Midnight Lycanroc’s will likely not increase by much).
