For real though, imagine the final evolutions from Pokemon SM comforting their sad trainer. 

Incineroar- Let’s be honest, if Incineroar didn’t basically go “I’m gonna kick it’s ass” to whatever made them sad, there would be some serious cuddling. It’d probably be straight up holding them and giving a deep purring. Plus the giant cat would probably be crazy warm considering the fire element. 

Primarina- Primarina would search the seas for beautiful mermaid treasures for their trainer, something special and unique to cheer them up. It would sing their trainer to sleep to calm them down, nuzzling them with their bright pink nose. If nothing else worked, it would put on a silly show just for their person. 

Decidueye- Ghost owl would probably coo in distress over a sad trainer (considering the fact they can be so easily panicked and stressed out themselves). Might actually mess up in several frantic attempts to make them feel better, but it would be so incredibly genuine. Eventually it will probably give up and just try to hold it’s trainers with it’s wings- cooing and snuggling with it’s feathers.
