No I agree, it’s just a made up sexuality to help the bored ol’ heterosexual kids feel like they belong in LGBT spaces.

Okay. Let me say a thing.

If I were gay, I would say I was gay.

Same for bi, or pan, or anything else.

I would not put myself through the hassle of dealing with jerks like you.

I would not cause myself to be scoffed at and made fun of.

However, I am not gay, or bi, or pan, etc.

I am demisexual. That is a real thing.

Also: heterosexual kids DO belong in lgbtqia+ meetings. They could be questioning their sexuality, they could be a supporter, or they could be ace.

All in all:

You, sir, are an asshole.

hey look it’s someone calling me an asshole because demisexuality is fake

Sexuality has nothing to do with HOW you fall in love. It has to do with what genitals sexually attract you. Like…come on…

pretty much lol

You know, i have no problem with people who claim they only get attracted to people they’re already friends with, as demisexual would describe, but then who do you get attracted to? All your friends? just the boys? the girls? a bit of both? only the hot ones?
because honestly that sounds like, in order, pansexuality, straight/gay, gay/straight, bisexuality, bisexuality with preferences. honestly fine if you want to cross that platonic barrier first but if you define your sexuality with laying beyond that barrier means that you are attracted to “friends”, as in, all of them. “oh but no i only get attracted to my male friends” well then you’re straight (if you’re a guy idk) “oh yes i get attracted to literaly any friend as long as they’re hot enough” well then you’re bi/pan. your preference to know someone platonically before being attracted to them has no influence on which gender(s) you’re attracted to, and therefore no influence on your sexuality. If it were the case you could make the same case for paedophelia, racial preferences or language, because those are all just as superficial and completely unrelated to gender.
