Murdered for not wearing islamic enough clothes, sounds pretty fucked. Especially since she wore the head scarf, but the jeans were apparently too much for people.

Look. I get it. She was controversial in some circles. Extremists didn’t like her. But people need to know something. Families almost never accept a suicide. They just don’t. It’s painful and it’s shocking and they’re already in the midst of tragedy, and the first thing that people say to themselves and others is “not my Mishka”.
“Not my Amber.”
“Not my [insert name].”
There are any number of things that play into this. Shock. Fear. Fear of guilt. Guilt itself. Surprise that they “missed the signs”, even though in a number of cases there weren’t signs to miss.
I don’t trust the family to be objective and I don’t expect them to be rational, either. Because I’ve…been there. Fuck I’ve been there. I wish I hadn’t.
But citing an article to make this into a political point is fucked, @vixehn. We don’t know what happened, and preliminary evidence and the autopsy ruled it a suicide, and the family has very loose evidence at best here. Making such a definitive refutation and statement is irresponsible at best.
