I’m getting sick to the stomach with the SU fandom and I’m not having any transphobic shit they’re up to.
So with the new sneak peek of the upcoming episodes of Steven Universe “Lars of the Stars” and the trailer itself, I couldn’t help but notice that a lot of people were hating on Jinkx Monsoon (Jerick Hoffer), an American Drag Queen performer who identifies as non-binary, voicing the new Homeworld Gem “Emerald.”
I’m honestly sick of this fandom demanding versatility, inclusivity, and strict and highly specific and constructed apologizes for any slip-out the show has when the show itself has been nothing but the most inclusive Cartoon Network series nowadays. Inclusive in gender, sexual orientations, ethnics, race, the mental health issues it embodies on its characters and the diversity of family situations. There has never been a show like that.
But nevertheless, people and their runny mouths are the first to speak up when something is not appealing to them. I’m fed up and I can’t believe there it is even fucking transphobia on this CN show when this is a perfect example for trans people and gender fluid people that you can make it far in your life.
Honestly, the SU fandom has officially ended it up to me to be looking through the Tumblr tag anymore. Y’all are tiring. There’s no pleasing you and y’all want to be mad, offended, and attack whatever your asses are feeling like and that’s not ok.
Jinkx Monsoon is amazing. They deserve to be where they are. I applaud them.
Y’all transphobic fucks will learn to deal with it once the episode is out and listen to their voice for as long as it’s airing, or else just quit the goddamn show. Ain’t no show starving for a disappointment of a person.
