Can someone actually explain this to me? I’m missing something.
Google just fired a male employee after he wrote a ten page document and passed it around Google, and it went viral online. It talks about how men and women are different, how he does value diversity and equality, but that he feels that achieving equal representation in the tech fields is a matter of addressing how men and women think and operate differently, rather than forcing it. He also talks about the dangerous of groupthink, and how Google’s internal culture shames and shuts down conservative voices out of fear of termination.
Seems he was proven right, now that he was fired.
Apparently he is going to sue. We’re about to see a huge shitstorm.
Google has hundreds of billions of dollars and control of over the majority of the internet. We’re not going to see anything.
I heard he was in talks with the NLRB before he got fired. He wasn’t going to sue for getting fired but for the defamation and online libel from the company. If he can prove that they set out to ruin his reputation and silence him, then maybe he has a leg to stand on. Bonus if he got fired for trying to protect himself legally. All depends on what angle he can use to maneuver himself into a better position than Google.
It looked like most of the mischaracterization that happened came from coworkers and mainstream news sources, but who knows? He might get to air a lot of dirty laundry if it goes to court. And maybe that would encourage Google will deal with him off the table. Or maybe he has some proof he didn’t air and he was already maneuvering toward this direction and that was the basis for the email and predictable sjw shitstorm.
We already got confirmation of his complaint by these cartoonishly evil Google employees.
